Heh. I thought you said that because some people tend to support the team that defeated their own. As it stands, England have always been defeated by previous champions in the knockout rounds of a World Cup. Portugal have never won before and despite the history, I don't want them to win this one. In time I might get over it and admit that England only always loses to the ensuing champion...

Having said that, I'd rather France win. Portugal would be the easier opponent but France would provide the sterner test. Sure, I want Italy to win but not without playing a good match against a good team.

After all, there is that business of 1998 and 2000 to deal with. Especially 2000. Revenge will be the sweetest antidote to the pain of those two memories.
