My mate is filling in a health and safety form for a portering dispatcher's job and there is an interesting question on it: Does your weight remain steady? Yes/No, if not give details.

heh, that's kind of odd, but maybe it's relevant to the job? does this "portering dispatcher" job require any type of heavy lifting?

Nope, not relevant to the job at all because all you do is sit in a chair all day assigning jobs for the porters to do! The only thing they'll be lifting is their arse from the chair at the end of their shift!

Basically the dispatcher sits in front of a monitor and radios jobs for the porters to do in the hospital (eg: patient movements to/from wards, blood movements, furniture removals etc).

Haven't been online lately because family were in town, mum left just this morning. Might be on a bit more over the next two weeks, but once school starts might not be online much for next 9 months! how's you doin??
