Nope! I'm not doing an LLB, I'm doing the year-long CPE/GDL conversion course so they only cover two weeks of an induction and then throw us straight into the seven core modules. We also have an extended essay of 4000 words to complete (topics given beginning November and it's due first week April), a case and statute analysis test to complete over the Christmas break and some 'Coursework' to be completed in a week in February. At my institution we can then complete two more essay-based modules over the summer (or over a 5-year period) and convert the GDL into an LLB (though in reality it's a bit of a dubious degree because 1/3rd of the credits towards it are considered to be from our first degree but the marks from that degree have no bearing on the LLB scores). But who cares how you get it when most employers will probably only look at the fact I've got two separate degrees and not bother about the details. Similarly, my institution offers the choice of converting the LPC/BVC into an LLM by doing extra stuff next summer. I'm definitely going to convert the GDL into an LLB but I'm not sure if I'm going to do the equivalent with my LPC/BVC.
