Cricket Trivia Stat of the Day

Jack Hobbs scored 100 first-class hundreds after he turned 40! I say, that does put the Little Master's achievement in perspective. Nite!

You can't link to CA Oracle results.

Good bit of trivia, though it comes with an asterisk - there's dispute over the status of the matches in Ceylon in 1930/1; if they are excluded, then he "only" scored 99 hundreds past the age of 40.

Oooohhh yes you can!

The secret, as revealed on Wikipedia a while back, is this: when doing the initial search, make sure you enter only a partial name, partial enough that multiple players will match. JB Ho does it for Hobbs, as it catches several others. From the results page, you'll find that each player links to a full URL, not just the .cgi one.

Very impressive! The URL is easy enough to parse so that it should be possible to set up this sort of link manually, working off a template.

Something like this is the link we're after.

One of those centuries I mentioned in my earlier comment was not in a first-class match.
