Sania Mirza in Montreal!

I just learnt that Sania Mirza is going to be playing at the Montreal Rogers Cup starting tomorrow!!!

Two years ago I bought tickets to watch Maria Sharapova and even managed to get Jennifer Capriati's autograph.

Wow. I am SO gonna be there!!!

Oh, and while I'm there I hope to see a few other stars like Kim Clijsters & Martina Hingis.

I'm definitely gonna take my flag, whether Mirza wins or not.

w00t! w00t!

You like Sania...?! Most people here cannot stand her. She's not even that great a player though yes, she is good from Indian standards.

here
? She's got a lot of support in India and I know she's been inspirational to a lot of young Indian girls. She isn't the world's best, but she's India's best and by default the fact she's Indian is good enough for me to support her. Besides, if nothing else, she's quite cute, though young and Muslim.

Ah well, can't win 'em all. Hopefully she'll win a match or two.

Maybe her support in the North isn't all that great... Though I do feel sorry for her when she gets death threats for wearing skirts and when silly people ask her questions like why she wears a nose-ring.

Generally people are tired of all the media-hype. Most complain she hasn't been living up to the expectations as portrayed by the media. And yes, of course I hope she wins as well! Who wouldn't want that?!

Lucky you! I totally agree you should take your flag and that way she may even acknowledge you from the court. Hahaha

Also congrats! Liverpoool won the FA Community Shield! 2-1...Crouch Crouch Crouch I would never have expected him to have scored the goal that sealed the win for them.

She's playing tomorrow! Unfortunately I've been a bit lazy and not recruited anybody else to try and go with me. Let's hope I'm not the only patriotic Indian...

And yes, I was surprised to see Liverpool won!!! It's a sign of things to come, as cheap as the Community Shield really is. And Crouch? WTF? It's that man Bellamy... he's been the real catch of the summer so far!
