Album of the Month: London 0 Hull 4

No, I'm not referring to Hull City's victories over London Town clubs West Ham, Arsenal, Spurs and Fulham this season. In 1986, The Housemartins released an album titled London 0 Hull 4 in reference to band member Paul Heaton's assertion that they were the fourth best band from Hull (after Red Guitars, Everything but the Girl, and The Gargoyles) and that there were no good bands from London. On 20 October various British media headlined City's victory over West Ham the previous day with the title of the album. Heh, brilliant!

FUN FACT: Band member Norman Cook is now better known as DJ Fatboy Slim!
