Hilarious!
I don't usually write two entries so close together time-wise but this is worth the exception. Below are the anecdotes of the week! :) The first I found on the LJ of a gurl whose recently moved to Montreal, and obviously she loves Bell Canada! The second was an anecdote Aditi just told me on MsN, absolutely hilarious:
Anecdote #1
"On the phone with customer service of Bell Canada, I told him to rub my nipples. The guy was baffled and asked me why? I said: "When I am getting screwed, I like my nipples played with.!!!" Then I said goodbye."
Anecdote #2
Aditi says:
So my friend was in Bangalore for a while, and while he was there one of his cousins gave him a T-shirt
Aditi says:
It has a picture of a horn on it and the words:
Aditi says:
"Horny OK Please"

Oh, and lest I forget ... today is the birth anniversary of our DEAR LEADER, Comrade Ceausescu, martyr of the original Communist Republic of Romania! Love live his legacy and I henceforth declare three days of virtual mourning. Thank you, for your inspiration and guidance, siempre.
La revedere, mon amigos!

Yeh, you said it - pricey, tho I got my last month off, or is that a common deal with the lease? Seriously superb view. I had a great view of downtown last year as well so I guess it follows me ... hehe
Did your place have carpet? Mine does, and it makes it so cozy and reminds me of back in the days of oman, where I lived before coming here.
Ok, the most important bit. Just went thru the Montreal group again and didn't realize YOU'RE the one trying to go to Chennai!! Umm ... I'm from Chennai! *lol* Well, at least that's where my base in India is, right now, even though i've never lived there! haha.

I haven't been to madras since summer 2000 and its time to make another trip. I try to get out there every 4-5 years. I priced fares at student travel in shatner, it was ~1850$ on malaysian and ~2000$ for air canada/air france/lufthansa. You wouldn't happen to have a good travel agent?

Hardwood is easier to maintain, true dat.
Unfortunately I don't have a good travel agent, or the location of one such off the top of my head. Gimme a coupla days though, I'll see if I can 'ask around' and try and help out. ~$1850 is just crazy!! Shatner isn't good for tickets unless you're looking for a last minute one, and even that's for places in N.America, and a few European destinations.
What's your Madras connection?

Madras connection? Entire family except my parents and sister live there.

Gulf Air - slightly better, but i still understand.
Yeh, I guess since my parents and sister live in Oman I break journey and fly with them on either Oman Air or Gulf Air there. No choice as such.
As for you my friend, you've not got much choice either considering what even Malaysia's askin' for. Tried the internet? BA? They fly Mtl-Lhr-Dxb-Mds, I believe... (change in London and Dubai).
