Thanks to everybody who answered the Media Poll and especially those who provided extra news sources. I'm already enjoying Google News. There seems to be no doubt that the Beeb, whether it be on TV or on the .Net is the news source of preference for quite a number of people, anywhere in the world.
In other news... my mum just got back from her quick trip to Madras, following a wedding in Mumbai (Bombay). It was her first trip to Bombay in over 10 years... which leaves just me and my sister to visit the party-ville of India! In good time, I keep reassuring myself. On the way to Chennai (Madras) however she happened to be sitting next to Kapil Dev and Balaji on the flight! Apparently she got some autographs which will be sent to me through the next person coming to Montreal. Unfortunately, when she turned on the digicam, it said memory was full, and by the time she tried deleting some older fotos, they'd run away into the airport terminal!
In any case, she was well impressed with Jet Airways' service. Has anybody else flown with them?
