Movie Update

I've watched Schindler's List (2nd time) and The Pianist in the last coupla days. Although it may seem like an overdose of cinematic Holocaust, they are both just 6 hours of the decade of hell the Jews endured in Germany and Eastern Europe. The extent of terror did not hit me as much as the fact that it all happened so recently (in relative historical terms).

Polanski makes the interesting point that not only were many of the despicable acts filmed by the Nazis, but often you could see other film crew within the same videos suggesting nothing less than a spectacle at work in their perspective. Quite sickening really...
