Between 1964 and 1991, Liverpool FC won the English Division 1/Premiership title 13 times. Their consistency however is better illustrated by the fact that during that long period they only finished outside the 1st or 2nd position a total of seven times.

Infact, except for the 1981 season, Liverpool did not finish outside the top 2 between 1973 and 1991. It was also during the '64-'92 period that they won 4 European Cups, 2 UEFA Cups, 5 FA Cups and 4 League Cups.

Unfortunately, nobody could've forseen the lack of Division 1/Premiership silverware at the end of the 1990 or even 1991 season.

One year ago, one match changed everything. Liverpool staged arguably the greatest comeback in the history of European Cup Finals to overcome a three goal deficit against mighty Milan and then went on to capture a 5th Champions League trophy on penalties.

This post is to pay homage to a group of footballers who are quoted by managers and players alike as an inspiration to conquer seemingly inconquerable heights and impossible challenges.

After the FA Cup success this season, it's only a matter of time before the Premiership trophy comes back home.

Liverpool FC, thank you for the entertainment. You'll Never Walk Alone.

While I'm in a nostalgic yet hungover/drunk mood, lemme flood your friend's page with some useful articles and must-see google videos that wax eloquent the spirit of Liverpool FC.

1) Catching 'em Young - The cutest video you'll ever see.
2) Steven Gerrard's Top 10 Goals

A month ago, everybody who's an England football fan was devastated with the news of Wayne Rooney's metatarsal injury. Then came Steven Gerrard's brace against West Ham in the FA Cup Final and the media went berserk.

If you want to know why England is going to win the World Cup, it's because of that man, Stevie G. The best part is that I've got one of my Polish friends onto the bandwagon and now he's sold by the magical midfielder's powerful right foot.

We've both made the curious observation that unlike almost any other player, his name has become synonymous with the Latino Americano "Gooooooooooooooal!" outcry. Check out the video above to see what I mean.

And for those who watched the FA Cup Final a couple weeks ago, the Gerraaaaaaaaard phenomenon continued.
