Finally, justice prevails...
Jun. 6th, 2006 11:15 amAfter months of waiting and contemplating an acceptance to McGill, my sister finally received her acceptance letter to Brown University (aka Ivy League).
It's for the Class of 2011 which means she can have a gap year. Lucky her!

While on the topic of my sis I forgot to mention how kind her history teacher was in the gift he got her for the History Award. He got her 4 books! Here's a list of all the books she received at her graduation:
1) Bill Bryson's The Lost Continent: Travel's in Small Town America
2) Khalil Gibran's The Prophet
3) H.V.F. Winstone's Gertrude Bell: A Biography
4) Discover light, inspiring cookery from Vietnam for creative cooking
5) Rachel De Woskin's Foreign Babes in Beijing: Behind the Scenes of a New China
6) Robert Baldwin's Whales and Dolphins of Arabia
7) Haruki Murakami's Kafka on the Shore
====
One of the pleasures of being home is Cable TV. Fox Sports is showing the Eng-SL series, TenSports is showing the Ind-WI series while Jazeera Sports Channel 2 is showing the entire French Open LIVE!
And not to mention, an awesome choice of news channels to go with it- Sky, BBC, NDTV, CNN, Fox etc. Movie channels at night. It's almost small screen bliss.
