Girl could give birth to her sister - no joke!

The Times has picked up an interesting story about a Montreal-mother, who has donated 21 of her eggs to her 7-year-old daughter, so that she can one-day give birth to her biological half-brother, or half-sister. Leading the team that treated Ms. Flavie Boivin, who has Turner syndrome, is a McGill University professor, Dr. Seang Lin Tan. Great to see my alma mater make the news here! w00t! w00t!

What happens when Yes Minister meets Larry Sanders?

The Thick of It, is one of my favourite TV shows of all-time. Unfortunately, not enough of it has been broadcast yet, but last night, BBC Four treated us to a one-off, hour-long special titled Spinners & Losers. If you love britcom and/or politics, you'll probably like this show. Or if you're like me, you'll develop an irrational obsession for it and watch the same episode, over and over again - each time catching new lines of exquisite political dialogue.
