This is only the 3rd time in the history of Tests that 3 southpaws have scored centuries in the same innings! Interestingly, all 3 instances have taken place in the space of the last 4 years. Australia started the trend through Hayden, Langer & Gilchrist against New Zealand in 2001. England repeated the feat in 2004 against South Africa through Trescothick, Strauss & Thorpe, and India emulated them this weekend through Yuvraj, Ganguly & Pathan. Ganguly finally scored his first double-hundred, while Pathan celebrated his return to the Test side with his maiden century. I am very happy for all three centurions and it is pleasing to note that Ganguly's highest Test score is now finally greater than his highest ODI equivalent. Having scored more than 600, it is virtually impossible for us to lose from here which means this is probably our first series victory over Pakistan at home since 1979/80. In other news, Ian Chappell believes India should've included Sehwag to Tour Australia. I completely agree. I can't believe the selectors have been so daft as to leave him out of the 24 probables!
