The Rule of Seven

I have a theory that male singles tennis players dominate in periods of seven years. Boris Becker 1985-1992. Pete Sampras 1993-2000. Roger Federer 2003-2010. Rafael Nadal 2008-2015? It probably doesn't stand up to scrutiny but I'll try and flesh it out one of these days.
