Something you don't see everyday in Central London. An abandoned petrol station in Clerkenwell.

This is on Fleet Street. It used to be the home of Britain's national press and continues to be used as a metonym for it.

I'm yet to go inside but could it really be an Irish Indian restaurant? (it's near Trafalgar Square)

I wonder if the French on this Indian restaurant has something to do with the fact it's on Old Quebec Street in Marylebone.

A typical scene in Chinatown during its New Year season.

A typical sign on Edgware Road, London's Arabistan.

An aptly named pub in the home of London's Legal Quarter (Temple Place).

Another aptly named pub by Smithfield Meat Market in Farringdon. Unlike other pubs it opens at dawn to coincide with the market.

It's amazing what you can discover on a random walk. This is St. John's Gate in Clerkenwell. Built in 1504 it used to be the south entrance to the inner precinct of the Priory of the Knights Hospitallers. There's even an awesome museum inside.

The beautiful and spacious central courtyard of Somerset House, which runs from The Strand and overlooks Father Thames.

And in winter the courtyard is turned into an ice-rink. A picturesque and historic setting for a romantic glide.
