Mar. 29th, 2005 08:58 pmUsually I'm the man with the links but today I was brought back down to earth. In case you're wondering what amazing website was able to inflict such psychological damage, I present you with: MSN Geeks. Shut up if you've already seen it. I know. :)
One of the features on this website lets you find out which people on your list have deleted you from theirs, and who still have you. It was a little disappointing to see a few people I still considered friends to have deleted me but what was most surprising was the number of people who've still got me on their list even though we haven't chatted for 2-3 years now! In any case, with all these tools it hardly makes sense to block or delete people... but heck, it still goes on.
McDonald's meanwhile have decided to pay hip-hop artists to incorporate the 'Big Mac' into their song lyrics. As usual there is opposition to the move. It's like everytime Corporate Inc. tries to do anything, corporate critics (read haters) oppose the move almost on cue. This particular deal seems amusing at best...
Then we have the sad news about three Romanian journalists who have been kidnapped in Iraq, shortly aftering interviewing Ayad Allawi, the interim-PM. Even the nation of bomb-defusers are not being spared, it seems. Good luck, President Basescu.
All in all, a productive day. My ear recovered in time for a group presentation and with two grades of A-, I feel like I've had a good day. Till next time, adios!
