May. 18th, 2008 05:50 pmOnly 45% of the London Underground is actually underground; the map below illustrates this. It can be used to find out where on the network you can use your mobile. But as the guy who created the map points out, the map is deceiving. Many of the cut and cover stations on the Circle Line break out into then open occasionally, such as King's Cross St Pancras (where I've used my mobile phone on the Circle Line platform). Other whole stations (eg: Notting Hill Gate) however are in fact in the open but still technically underground.
