It is exactly one year since I arrived in London. Time flies. Although there have been many great experiences, last night among them, I am extremely unsatisfied with the way things have panned out. Hopefully with a temporary roommate in the flat and law school around the corner, things will enter the second year with a bang and put my house in order. Figuratively and literally. Nevertheless, despite the lack of planned achievement, it is simply impossible to express the joy of living in the world's greatest city (even
Samuel Johnson agreed with me). So here's to making dreams come true! May there be many more years of London and McGillianairity.
ChinchÃn!PS It is worth noting, to my immense satisfaction, that several of my friends have commented on a distinct Geordie-isation in my accent. Especially in recent weeks. I've noticed it myself having spent almost every day and weekend with North Easterners. And given that my temporary roommate is from the North-East as well, it seems inevitable that the next person who visits me having heard me speak before, will be quite taken aback! It's only a matter of time when I'll be served a cork instead of a coke and be mistaken for being Scottish by ignorant foreigners. Oh well. Some things you don't plan!
