mcgillianaireOn Friday, Steve McLaren, the new England football manager, will name the new captain of the national team. The five players supposedly in the fray are Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard, Gary Neville, John Terry & Steven Gerrard.
The top two contenders are John Terry, captain of Chelsea FC and Steven Gerrard, the inspirational captain of Liverpool FC.
Here's what the English media has to say about who should/will be chosen as successor to Becks:
