Date: 2007-03-30 05:09 am (UTC)hp seems to have a beauty of a machine at the moment that's got my attention: the 6291 in the above list. good price too if it's still in stock when i head to the tech exhibition later today.
mac- beyond my budget and not available in oman to the best of my knowledge. tho as i learnt last night, there is an actual apple shop here in muscat.

if you can't get a mac then I'd recommend dell ... at least you can speak to their outsourced 'customer service' (I use the term loosely as they have never been the least bit helpful in my experience).
