mcgillianaireA few months ago I befriended the vicar of St Bartholomew-the-Less, a church located within the grounds of the hospital at which I work. He invited me to check out his church which houses the oldest wooden bell frame in the City and is one of the oldest churches in the country. I made a pictorial post about this visit in February. Though we have been out of touch recently, he has repeatedly offered me free entry to the top of St Paul's Cathedral together with a free tour.
In recent days however he has made national headlines by incurring the wrath of the Anglican Church for participating in what some (or perhaps many?) have proclaimed a blasphemous gay wedding ceremony in another church next to where I work, St Bartholomew-the-Great. I couldn't think of a better time to get back in touch with Reverend Peter Cowell. Watch this Space!
