For the first time in its 133-year history, there is not a single Englishman in the men's draw at Wimbledon. There is of course world number 4 Andy Murray and doubling Great Britain's contingent will be fellow Scot and wild card entrant, Jamie Baker. His world ranking? 254.

Well, it's been coming. Bogdanovic has done precisely nothing with the countless opportunities he's been given, and I'm afraid I support his being turned down for a wildcard. It's disgraceful that a country this size has done so badly at tennis for so long; I don't really have an obvious reason for it that wouldn't also apply to other sports where we are more successful.
