I finally decided to buy that ticket for the Keane concert next weekend after finding somebody who's going on The Facebook of all places. The search continues though for somebody interested in the Maroon 5 concert in April. Call me what you want, but if I like their music, and I can make my sister jealous, I'm game to go. But if these same artists expect me to pay for their music AND their concerts - forget it - it's one or the other and right now I'm quite happy with pirating everything that's out there. :)

I've also finally received the vunderfool birthday card that my parents promised would be full of surprises - and indeed, it was very sweet, including the one from my sister. I've also picked up my birthday gift from a friend who flew down here last week and now I feel LOADED. People, starting next week, expect to be flooded with picture-ful entries. But don't worry, I'll take it easy on your server's bandwith and store them in my Picture Gallery and provide a link.

Till tomorrow morning, TTFN!

lucky kid! Keane and Maroon 5 are gonna be in St. Louis sometime this semester and I really wish I could go! Maroon 5...they sound good live (my friend has their live cd thingy).

I never knew you were in St.Louis! This is the one in Missouri, right?

I'm really looking forward to watching Keane live - they were here in October and I didn't know so I couldn't miss out twice!

Is Maroon 5 really good live? A friend of mine watched them on some show last night and wasn't impressed so I'm having 2nd thoughts. Then again, I could really make my sister jealous... lol

If they're both coming to St.Louis why don't you go? :)

haha...I'm not in St. Louis MO, but in Springfield MO which is about 3-4 hrs away. The Springfield that supposedly is the "setting" for The Simpsons. ;)

Maroon 5 sounded really good. It was nothing like their studio recorded version, the songs on the live cd sounded BETTER. It was kinda more jazzier and more accoustic.

I just might go, esp for Maroon 5 if I am still here and have a ride.

Ahhhh, my bad! ;) But that's pretty cool you're in "the" Springfield!

You've got me thinking about Maroon again. I might just download some of their live sets and see if it's any good before making a final decision.

What other types of music/bands do you also like?

ummm...Frou Frou, Scissor Sisters, Jack Johnson, Franz Ferdinand, Ani DiFranco, Rufus Wainwright, Duncan Sheik and a bunch of others are regulars in my playlist lately. ;) It's pretty much alternative, rock and dance music. ANd folk that I like.

I've never heard of Frou Frou, Scissor Sisters, Jack Johnson and Duncan Sheik before! I must download! :)

Franz was here not too long ago actually, but I hadn't heard anything till later, boo.

Have you been to any concerts lately?

They're GOOD! I love em!

I don't normally go to concerts as hardly anyone comes to Springfield. Though went to the Sister Hazel concert last friday for homecoming.

Ahh, fair nuff. What's the nearest big city?

Sister Hazel... another band I haven't heard of before! :P

Springfield is actually the third largest city in Missouri, after Kansas City and St. Louis. It's 3 hrs away from both cities. For more info:

I've heard of Sister Hazel. Apparently they're kinda big or used to. I dunno. The biggest concert I've been to was a Better Than Ezra one. It was nice.

I think we should swap music. Whatcha think?

Damn, that's interesting. So wait, Kansas City is actually "in" Missouri? I always thought it was near the border but that's pretty cool.

Thanks for the links! :)

Rather ironic how just a day or two after you told me about Scissor Sisters, they won some prizes @ the Brit Awards... :P

And I'm on for music swapping! Do you MsN/aim?

Yey for Scissor sisters!

Kansas City is actually shared by Missouri and Kansas, the bigger portion of it being in Missouri. I think this is cool. ;)

I actually have made a bunch of posts proffessing my love for Scissor Sisters.

Yes [Prime] Minister!!!

YOu know I have the whole seasons 1 2 and 3 of YM, and the double disc 1 of YPM?

Oh wow!! Another Y[P]M fan!! Ye know there's a yes ministers (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=yes_minister) community on LJ! :D

This winter when I went back home I was treated to an unbelieveable surprise - my dad bought the entire YM and YPM series on DVD as a... I guess you could call it a Christmas gift for posterity!! We sat up almost every night watching a few episodes. Great, great fun and a pleasant change from the VHS recordings my dad had made when he was in England during the original broadcasts! :P

I personally like YM slightly better, but it's all so wonderfully droll.

Me too.. YM is better than YPM in my eyes, but you get the "it's not fresh anymore... who can come up with some new ideas" syndrome in so many shows.

Exactly! The great thing about British comedies, I find is that they know when to stop. Sometimes it seems like they make too few episodes but I'd rather a few, memorable ones than a decade full of mediocre ones.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of certain British dramas like Eastenders, or the Aussie one... Neighbours. :P

Neighbours went to too many episodes in 1987. Every single one since has been rubbish. And just don't mention Friends from season 2 onwards... but it's been 10 years? (c:
