Blogosphere and RSS

mcgillianaireThe exam went off well, I hope. :) One or two questions were tricky but that's to be expected. After coming back home I decided to take a quick nap but I've just woken up and missed my second class for the day. :/ I can't afford to miss any more classes till the middle of March at least... the next goal! :)
In the meanwhile, I came across these rather interesting and useful websites.
Blogshare: A fantasy stock market where blogs are the companies. Players invest fictional dollars on shares in blogs. Blogs are valued by their incoming links and add value to other blogs by linking to them. Prices can go up or down based on trading and the underlying value of the blog.
Google Compute: A feature that enables your computer to work on complex problems when it would otherwise be idle. The work it does is automatically sent via the Internet to researchers who combine it with information sent by thousands of other users.
Google Suggest: Type in the beginning of a query and a dropdown appears that not only allows you to pick from common queries that match what you typed so far, it even shows the number of hits for those queries. (Screenshot)
Bloglines: Think, your existing Friends Page (minus all the protected entries). This website offers users one place in which to read, search and share all the blogs you are interested in. Users build a list of the blogs they want to follow without having to visit each journal site individually.
News is Free: A web site designed to let you access thousands of news sources with a powerful and flexible portal for browsing, indexing and publishing news headlines. The Premium Export feature even lets you build custom RSS feeds which can be used on your website or in your news reader.
If you're looking for an example of an RSS news reader I'm currently using Sharp Reader but the News is Free website has a link to several other equally good ones.
