Third Time Unlucky

I feel ripped off by my driving instructor. Granted I lost my composure a little and made a couple small silly mistakes but hell, I drive the car a lot better than half the people with licenses our there. What a waste of money, it seems. And quite the joke if I end up getting thru in Canada easily. Bloody hell. This holiday has turned a little sour but luckily I have three weeks of ancestral heaven. In the meanwhile, does anybody have a funny/bizarre story to lift my spirits? :)
Driving in Montreal
Date: 2004-07-09 05:04 am (UTC)I'm a little confused about how the license system works here. From what I understand the first thing is the theory. Once you do that you get a learners permit. Then you take a test after 8-12 months and get a probationary license. Now supposedly after 2 years you get a regular drivers license.
I'm confused as to whether you take another practical test after the probationary license one or there's only one, and you're not allowed to get a proper license immediately after the learner's cuz of the probationary garbage. :)
Any help would be much appreciated. I'm sorry if i've confused you instead. :P
